Rinehart Clinic Presents Both Fireworks and Auction Fun

Rinehart Clinic Executive Director Ellen Boggs invites visitors, friends, and neighbors to join with the Clinic in providing medical care to all in our community. “One way people can help is for people to support our fundraising activities.  Our fireworks booth and The Rinehart Clinic Sand Dollar Auction are fundraisers that help to provide care to patients who have no medical insurance or prescription drug coverage.”

The Fireworks Booth will be open 10 AM to 6 PM from Monday, June 23 through Saturday, July 5. July 6 will be half-price day.  The booth will be located in the parking lot next to the Manzanita Grocery & Deli on Laneda Avenue in Manzanita.  All workers at the booth are volunteers, and all profits go to The Rinehart Clinic.

Along with legal fireworks, there will be many non-fireworks items for sale. Having a patriotic theme there will be flags, hats, beach balls, wristbands, pinwheels, and of course that best selling patriotic rubber duck.  A new item this year will be hats for patriotic dogs.

The Fourth Annual Rinehart Clinic Sand Dollar Auction takes place on August 16th.  The clinic’s 95th anniversary year will be celebrated with Tillamook County’s largest and most glamorous tented event, featuring a silent auction and cocktail party, followed by a multi-course catered dinner and live auction.

Collection of items for the auction is taking place at the Rinehart Clinic. You may call Ellen at 503-368-5189 with questions about your donation or sponsorship.  Auction items already donated can be seen on the Rinehart Clinic website, www.rinehartclinic.org. In order to have the items documented and photographed for the web site, items should be received August 1st.  Popular auction items include boating trips, resort/hotel/motel stays, brunch/dinner packages (either from restaurants or at private homes), gifts of food /wine/coffee-and especially chocolate, original art items and jewelry.  A sponsorship in the form of an ad for your business, your recognition of a loved one, or your tribute to the Clinic will be placed in our auction catalog.

The Rinehart Clinic is a federally designated rural health clinic.  Our mission is to provide health care to all, regardless of ability to pay.  Auction proceeds will support the clinic’s mission in two ways.  First, proceeds will provide care for the one-fourth of our patients who do not have health insurance and whose income is below the federal poverty level.  Second, part of the proceeds will go to the Rinehart Endowment Fund, interest from which will provide care for generations to come.
